RIP Jack Nolan. Jack was the owner, with wife Mary, of the farm which hosts Meredith Music Festival and Golden Plains. His son, Chris, was one of the founding organisers of Meredith and a good mate of the band. We have played many times on the Nolan's land over the years and were always amazed at how with all the craziness that took over his farm, nothing ever seemed to phase him. Without Jack's quiet presence and support of the festival MMF & Golden Plains would never be. A lovely man. Our thoughts are with the Nolan family.

'I was hangin' with Kram alot in those days around "Ivy and the big Apples" he was in between addresses and crashed at mine for months, We were jamming and writing tunes for Hot Rollers, it was the beginning of a very prolific period for him. Ivy and the big apples is when Spiderbait really embraced the pop side of their psyche, songs like calypso, hot water and milk and buy me a pony gave them a sweet new dimension only hinted at on the previous releases and it immediately exploded, everyone loved it. This photo was taken at the end of the tour in 1994...' Richie Lewis, TUMBLEWEED.
